At
present, the devastated school buildings are spelling the
threat of a more serious calamity. With nothing at hands in
the mean time, the empty minds of these children may turn
into the devil's workshops. Even the slightest delay in building
schools would hamper the education of these children and ruin
their future. In all probability, it would result in a large
number of school dropouts or worse, make them go astray.
This manmade calamity would ruin the future of those, who
are the future of the nation.

What
can be even more shattering than the earthquake, is the aftermath.
It's a heart- rendering sight to watch the quake-affected
children stare at the destruction with vacant eyes, or run
after the load full of trucks bringing food, clothes and other
survival related things.
If they are left without any mental activity, they would brood
over the calamity in their hearts and it would make them magnify
the disaster; finally translating itself in an irreparable
psychological damage. It could also make them indulge in self
pity and render them incapable of self-reliance and self-help.
This would in turn result in a very low self-esteem which
could reduce their existence to the level of mere vegetation.
